Mohoceñada

The "entrada de la virgen de Guadalupe" lasts for three days in Sucre. Groups dance and play in the parade for 6 or 8 hours in the city in order to celebrate the Virgin said to have performed miracles long ago. The reality is different; this tradition arrived with the Spanish, who used their religion to overthrow the indigenous culture.
