Jula-Julas (2)

The funny thing about this story is that the Bolivian people don't know the origins of the Tinku. You hear comments in Spanish like "Ah! They don't know how to dance", while people from North Potosí say in Quechua "¡Ah! Paykuna allinta yachanku!" - "they dance very well".

The musicians dance in a line like a snake. Next, they form a circle. The Jula-Julas stop to make space for the charango.

We listen awhile to José Miguel playing the pututu.
Everyone stamps their feet singing battle songs.
