In the fierce sun, fatigue brings the spirits to life and blows start to emanate from the ranks of the players. The Jula-Julas is a preparation for a fight, for a battle. If the Tinku continued as in the past, the true participants - those who fight - would be punching each other's animal-skin helmets.

The traditional helmets, in imitation of Spanish helmets. To make fun of the conquistadors? Or to show that these are men, who fight with fists rather than guns?
